Parliament approves Armenia’s 2017 state budget draft

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. The Parliament of Armenia approved the 2017 state budget, reports “Armenpress”.

83 MPs voted in favor of adopting the budget draft, 24 were against, 1 abstained.

Before the voting Prosperous Armenia Party faction MP Mikayel Melkumyan announced that the PAP MPs will vote against the state budget draft.

Head of the Armenian National Congress faction Levon Zurabyan also stated that the ANC will vote against the state budget draft.

MP Tigran Urikhanyan as well called on MPs to vote against.

Rule of Law faction head Heghine Bisharyan said they will vote against the budget draft, since according to it there is no progress, and the Armenian citizens do no have any expectations from it.

Ruling coalition forces, the RPA and the ARF voted in favor of the draft.

According to the budget draft, an amount of 1 trillion 210 billion AMD loan revenues, fees and other revenues are expected. The expenses are maintained 1 trillion 360 billion AMD, and the deficit will comprise over 150 billion 150 million AMD.
