YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS. The “Garun” magazine (Spring), which has a half-century old history, is being re-published. After almost one year of pause, the first issue has been published, which is dedicated to the 25th Independence anniversary.

Ashot Gabrielyan, poet and Editor-In-Chief of “Garun” told a press conference in ARMENPRESS that the magazine will present itself to readers with new approaches and new breath.

“There was a time when the fate of “Garun” magazine was stalled. A question was raised, whether the magazine should be re-published, whether or not Garun has nothing else to say. With the warm heartedness and consistency of the Ananyan Family it was decided that “Garun” should be published and should continue its process. It still has its word to say”, Ashot Gabrielyan said.

March 1, 2017, marks the 50th anniversary of the “Garun” magazine. Member of the Editorial Board of “Garun” magazine, Director of ARMENPRESS state news agency Mr. Aram Ananyan says Garun has been up-to-date during all times. And now there is a task to continue the traditions of the magazine, by presenting it with new approaches.

“A goal is set of having a dynamic, productive magazine written in good Armenian, with contemporary breath, which will not lose relevance neither now nor years later. We have to support the establishment of “Garun” magazine. Let me say that an impressive Editorial Council has been formed. The first issue is already available after almost a year of pause”, Mr. Ananyan said.

The presentation of the first issue of “Garun” will take place on November 4.
