Two mortar shells fired on Russian embassy in Syria

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Terrorists have fired two mortar shells on the Russian embassy in Syria, with no one hurt in the attack, “Armenpress” reports, citing TASS, Russia’s Foreign Ministry reported on October 28.

"On October 28, at about 3:00 p.m. Moscow time [12:00 GMT], terrorists fired two mortar shells on the Russian embassy compound in Syria," the ministry said.

"Aimed fire was conducted from the Jobar area remaining under the control of anti-government forces," it said.

"Fortunately, there were no victims. Damage was caused to the Russian foreign mission, including damage done to four cars," the ministry said.

"We resolutely condemn a yet another terrorist attack on the Russian embassy," it said in a press release. "We’ll do everything on our power to embrace its organizers and perpetrators with the punishment they deserve."
