Armenian news agencies

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. A meeting between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Timur Urazayev and heads and editors-in-chief of leading Armenian news agencies took place at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Armenia on October 28. The participants discussed the existing level of cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan in the sphere of information, as well as exchanged ideas over the current  international informational trends.

The Ambassador congratulated the mass media representatives on the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. The Ambassador spotlighted the rapidly rising role of mass media in the contemporary world and introduced the international projects implemented by the initiative of Kazakhstan.

“Armenpress” reports mass media representatives touched upon the features of informational policies and the priorities of their activities. It was suggested to expand cooperation with the Embassy of Kazakhstan by covering events important for the social-political and expert circles of both countries, create a reciprocal and reliable information source and continue the organization of Kazakhstan press tour on different themes.

The heads and editors-in-chief of Armenian TV and radio companies, as well as agencies called for activation of informational cooperation. Particularly, the director of “Armenpress” news agency, the editors-in-chief of “168 hours”,  “Komsomolskaya Pravda” Armenia, and the editor of “Arka” agency offered to carry out exchange of information and foster opening of TVs for presenting necessary information to the citizens of both countries.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan urged the participants of the meeting to actively make use of the platform of Eurasian media forum for conducting exchange of information and establishing relations with foreign partners.

The participants of the meeting expressed readiness to make efforts for objective coverage of events in Armenia and Kazakhstan, which will foster the preservation of trust between the two states and a closer cooperation.
