YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Hovhannes Sahakyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the Parliament, presented the new regulation-law of the Parliament to the lawmakers.

During the discussion, Sahakyan first of all noted that Armenia will transition into a Parliamentary system of government as result of the constitutional reforms.

“We formed a working group in January of 2016, which elaborated the new regulation-law of the Parliament. The regulation-law is a constitutional law, and we tried to surface the issues of the old regulation and present mechanisms and tools to the Parliament, which will allow implementing its powers and duties of the new Constitution”, he said.
