Post-April war restoration works in NKR at final stage

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS. The restoration works of communities which were damaged during the military operations of the 4-day war in April are in the final stage, spokesman of the NKR Urban Development Ministry Hunan Tadevosyan told ARMENPRESS.

“The military operations of April damaged Martakert city, Talish, Mataghis and the Inner Jartar village of Martuni region. Immediately after the ceasefire inventory and measurements were implemented. 38 homes were damaged in Martakert, 28 of which have been restored. Restoration works of the other parts are in progress. In other communities, where the main damages were broken windows, necessary amount of windows have been provided and installation works are in process, in many location the works have already been completed”,  Tadevosyan said.

Homes and the local school were damaged in Mataghis. Main damages were broken windows and a damaged roof. According to Tadevosyan, locals have been provided with tin plates and windows. Restoration of damaged homes in Mataghis is mainly completed. Regarding the school, the restoration is completely finished and classes are organized according to the normal schedule. The school of the Jartar village is also completely restored.

Tadevosyan says in terms of strategically important infrastructures the gas pipeline had been damaged, which was quickly restored after the ceasefire.

He reminded NKR Prime Minister’s speech, who had said all traces of bombardments must be completely eliminated.

“In Talish, power supply restoration works have been carried out. Talish is now in the crosshairs of the adversary, therefore restoration works are yet to be carried out there. 30% of the housing facilities in Talish are damaged”, he said.
