YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. “Artsakhpress” News Agency and “Alik” Armenian daily newspaper signed a memorandum of cooperation at the end of the conference of the 8th Pan-Armenian Forum of Journalists in Stepanakert, NKR on October 23, reports “Armenpress”.

According to the memorandum, “Artsakhpress” News Agency and “Alik” Armenian daily newspaper will closely cooperate. In particular, exchange of information, organizing mutual visits of journalists, implementation of joint projects and activities aimed at strengthening the Motherland-Diaspora relations will be carried out.

Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, NKR Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Narine Aghabalyan, other high-ranking officials attended the signing ceremony. NKR President Bako Sahakyan also took part in this important event.

In fact, for the first time a memorandum of cooperation has been signed between Nagorno Karabakh and Diaspora media over the past 25 years of independence.

The cooperation began in September, when "Artsakhpress" news agency director Vahram Poghosyan also attended the main celebration of the 85th anniversary of “Alik” Armenian daily newspaper in Tehran at the invitation of the partners.

 "Alik” is an Armenian daily newspaper based in Tehran, Iran. It was founded in March 1931. “Alik” was initially a weekly, and beginning from 1935 it started publishing once every two days. In 1941 it became a daily and has been published continuously.

The newspaper has its own publishing house and printing premises that publishes Armenian language and Iranian books. The newspaper has had various supplements. The current editor in chief is Terenik Melikian.
