YEREVAN, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS. Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan attaches importance to the criminalization of illicit enrichment in the government’s program.

The minister said at a briefing that one of the short-term programs of the government is the criminalization of illicit enrichment.

“This initiation will prove the political will of the government to fight against illegal enrichment” she said.

According to Minister Hovhannisyan, only criminalization of the issue is not enough for the fight against illicit enrichment.

“We cannot achieve phenomenal results with one action. The criminalization of illicit enrichment won’t give big results by itself. This will work when several programs of the government will be properly conducted in the right time. For instance, in regard to limiting cash operations. We can also document administrative and criminal successes in the field of profit declarations”, the minister said.
