Armenia expects to develop economic ties with EAEU states in pharmaceutical sector

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Government approved the protocols on joining the agreements of common principles and rules of drug circulation and medical products within the Eurasian Economic Union, reports “Armenpress”.

Minister of Healthcare Levon Altunyan said the adoption of the agreements is necessary for developing Armenia’s economic cooperation, expanding the trade and economic ties, ensuring safe, effective and qualified access of medicines.

“The agreements will contribute to forming a common market for drugs within the EAEU, eliminating unjustified restrictions in the mutual trade, as well as developing pharmaceutical industry, enhancing the competitiveness of pharmaceutical product produced in the member states and establishing optimal conditions for having an access to the world market”, the Minister said.
