YEREVAN, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS. The major task of the traffic police must be to reduce the number of accidents, rather than to collect money and to write fines as much as possible, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said during the discussion of adopting the Government’s action plan in the Parliament, reports “Armenpress”.
“I think the goal of the traffic police must not be to write fines and collect money as much as possible, to create unfavorable conditions for the citizens, rather they must reduce the number of accidents”, the PM said in response to RPA MP Samvel Farmanyan’s question.
He said if the measures taken do not solve the major issue and do not serve the major goal, those measures must be revised.
