Armenian PM receives Ambassador of United Arab Emirates

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on October 19 received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia Jassim Mohamed Al Qasemi, press service of the Government told “Armenpress”.

PM Karapetyan said closer ties have been established between Armenia and the Arabic world, and based on that the intergovernmental relations are successfully developing. The PM said Armenia-United Arab Emirates high level dialogue enables to raise the bilateral economic ties to a new qualitative level for which sufficient potential and opportunities exist. In this context PM Karapetyan attached importance to develop the activity of bilateral intergovernmental joint commission.

Ambassador Jassim Mohamed Al Qasemi congratulated Karen Karapetyan on his appointment, wished him success. He expressed confidence the productive cooperation between the Governments of two states will develop and will be strengthened.

The sides agreed that although in recent years the bilateral ties are dynamically developing, and an increase in the trade turnover volume has been recorded, it is necessary to make additional efforts for further expanding and deepening them.

Issues related to the cooperation prospects in agricultural, food industry, tourism, infrastructures and other sectors, as well as involvement and promotion of investments were discussed at the meeting.
