YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. In the upcoming five years the IT sector of Armenia will present new and high quality equipment, Armen Safaryan – representative of the leading UAV manufacturer DJI Company said during the DigiTec expo.

“If we continue working with the current pace, then in the coming years we will have such unmanned aerial vehicles, which won’t yield to Israeli production. Designation will be various – attack, reconnaissance. After the four day war of April the process was boosted, we have high quality professionals and we will achieve serious successes”, he said.

According to him, currently the Defense Ministry is testing the production of their company.

“Olymp Engineering” presented the transmitting system of their production. Representative of the company Orbeli Sevoyan said the system will support internet and telephone communication in any given area.

“It is designed for locations where no communications are present. With this system we can provide internet and telephone communication in any location. In locations lacking electricity, the system can feed from sunlight”, he said.

A separate floor was provided for IT educational companies in the DigiTec expo.

“Tumo” Center presented the works of both their current students and graduates.

Misha Manukyan, who represented the Yerevan State College of Informatics, presented the idea of a remote controlled tank.

“Our team presents the idea of a remote controlled tank. The implementation of this idea in the military is important, since it will be able to control the tank, fire and operate without having the crew inside. It will help avoiding human losses”, he said.
