YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on September 27 received the delegation of Fund for Armenian Relief led by US Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Chairman of the FAR, Archbishop Khajak Parsamyan, press service of the Presidential administration informed “Armenpress”.

President Sargsyan welcomed the delegation members in the Motherland and highly appreciated the FAR’s patriotic activity staring from 1988 in the disaster zone, as well as in many other settlements of Armenia and in Nagorno Karabakh.

Serzh Sargsyan expressed gratitude for the projects conducted with a great devotion and asked the members to convey his gratitude to all representatives, partners and philanthropists of the Fund.

President Sargsyan expressed gratitude to FAR Chairman Khajak Parsamyan and expressed confidence his organizational talent will serve the Armenian people for a long time.

The President highly appreciated the FAR’s assistance to our Syrian Armenian brothers and sisters for whom Armenia does everything possible to mitigate their problems and take care of them.

At the meeting the President awarded philanthropists Edward and Janet Mardigian with 1^st degree medals for the “Services provided to the Motherland”.

President Sargsyan answered to the questions of the meeting participants which related to Armenia’s development prospect, economic priorities, the state policy on attracting investments and promoting export, the projects for assisting Syrian Armenians and etc.
