“We have potential in each sector which has not been fully utilized yet. At the forum we will speak about the types of tourism which are yet unknown in Armenia. We will talk about religious tourism for the first time. I will make a proposal to organize a pilgrimage to Armenia. Pilgrimage is a famous type of tourism. Thus, we are planning to conduct such project in Armenia”, he said.

Speaking about other opportunities for tourism development, he said Armenia has the largest salt mine in the region. It will be presented within the frames of tourism packages. The salt mine is a treatment place, it is 325 meters depth. Tourists can go down more than 200 meters deep, spend there 3-4 hours and receive a treatment.

In the second part of the forum the Mayors of tourism cities will present the tourism potential of their cities.
