YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. The most prominent ceremony the Military Parade dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence was held in the Republic Square of Yerevan on September 21.

Acting Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan welcomed all military unites and congratulated them on the Independence Day.

Then the acting Minister reported the readiness of the military parade to the Supreme Commander of the Armenian Armed Forces, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, thereafter the parade launched.

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, Parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, President of the Constitutional Court Gagik Harutyunayn, members of the legislative and executive bodies, diplomatic representatives of foreign states in Armenia, military officials, clergy representatives were following the Military Parade.

Then the military equipment was brought to the Republic Sqaure (self-propelled anti-tank systems, cannons, “Grad”, “Typhoon”, WM-80, “Smerch”, “Konkurs” multiple rocket launchers, “Tochka-U”, “Scud” tactical ballistic missiles, “Iskander” mobile short-range ballistic missile system).

Honor Guard Headquarters and the Joint Armed Forces Brass Band concluded the Military Parade.
