YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. National Assembly MP Tevan Poghosyan says today Armenia has a new mentality and approach towards security issues.

“Judging from what I have seen in August or September 2 in Nagorno Karabakh I can surely state that we have a new approach towards our security issues. But we also have another problem: what is happening there cannot be lasting if there is no coordinated work of the entire Armenians. Why the entire Armenians, since without powerful Armenia, there will not be a powerful Nagorno Karabakh, but the united work of Armenia, Diaspora and Nagorno Karabakh is important for Armenia’s strength. We must carry out consistent and long-term works. We must understand that our enemy will not be changed within a day”, he said, “Armenpress” reported.

The MP is concerned that today the Armenian and Azerbaijani publics are ready to any scenario, but not to compromise.

“I do not quite believe in all the meetings, discussions which are held in the international platforms. At this moment the two publics are ready to go to any scenario, but not to compromise. We must be able to make systematic changes, to develop democratic institutions, economy, establish justice, fight against corruption, eliminate the atmosphere of impunity. Now we have more opportunities than before. To date the biggest mistake is to go to any concessions: we must start to form more solid backbone of Armenia”, he said.
