YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. 13-14 Armenian companies in the information technology sector will take part in the World Congress on Information Technology on October 3-5 in Brazil, Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Emil Tarasyan said, reports “Armenpress”.

He said he will also be among the Armenian delegation members.

Emil Tarasyan said the Union of Information Technology Enterprises has made big efforts in 2014 submitting an application in order that Congress of 2019 to be held in Armenia which succeeded and is a great achievement for the country. “Our delegation will include 13-14 companies which are members of the UITE. I will also depart and will have a chance to participate in the discussions of state-private cooperation. Panel discussions will be held where we will be able to present Armenia, the IT sector, our advantages. The companies will take part in different discussions as well”, he said.

He said the delegation put two major issues: firstly, they must actively participate in and represent Armenia as much as possible during the panel discussions, which will contribute to the involvement of participants from various parts of the world in the upcoming international congress in Armenia in 2019.

“The second issue aims to examine organizational issues for the upcoming event in Armenia”, he said.
