YEREVAN, AUGUST 31, ARMENPRESS. The arrest of a Russian citizen at the request of the USA is a violation of international norms, “Armenpress” reports official representative of the RF MFA Maria Zakharova told the reporters on August 31.

“That act does not support the normalization of relations between Russia and the United States of America”, Zakharova said.

The Kentron and Nork Marash Court refused the Prosecutor’s demand on remanding Russian citizen Sergey Mironov.

“The Court denied the Prosecutor’s motion on remanding Sergey Mironov. Sergey Mironov has been released from the courtroom”, a Judicial Department official told.

Earlier it was reported that 30 year old Sergei Mironov, a Russian citizen, had been arrested in Armenia. The United States had listed Mironov on the international wanted list for illegal sale of firearms.

Mironov was arrested in Armenia on August 26 at 16:30.
