YEREVAN, AUGUST 27, ARMENPRESS. Gyumri met Olympic gold medalist, wrestler Artur Aleksanyan and silver medalist, weightlifter Gor Minasyan with joy and Olympic mood.

“Armenpress” correspondent informs that despite late hour, Gyumri residents gathered in “Vardanants” square of the city to celebrate the return of the sportsmen. Festive mood was present everywhere. The photos of the champion and the vice-champion were posted on the façade sectors of the buildings and the cloths of Gyumri people.

“I am powerful with you, my city and country. This victory does not belong to solely me, this is everybody’s victory and we won together”, Artur Aleksanyan said addressing his fellow citizens.

“We are thankful that you are not asleep at this late hour and came here to meet us. We are really strong with you, and without you we would never archive any success”, Gor Minasyan said.

Victorious round dance and gorgeous fireworks were the peak of the festive mood.
