YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS. Attorney of Alek Yenigomshyan contacted the Ombudsman on July 28 and notified that he is the attorney of the latter and his defendant is in custody of the National Security Service.

The Ombudsman’s Office told ARMENPRESS according to the attorney, Alek Yenigomshyan’s rights are not secured in the detention facility, and the conditions of his detention are violated by ignoring his special needs.

The rapid response unit of the Ombudsman’s Office was dispatched to the detention facility of the NSS and had a private meeting with Yenigomshyan and his attorney.

Appropriate research was conducting based on Yenigmoshyan’s and his attorney’s raised matters and clarifications were demanded from the administration at the scene.

As a result, the audio watch of Yenigomshyan was returned to him, the possibility of accepting parcels was ensured, a table has been brought in to the cell, as well as a radio.

Afterwards, upon the attorney’s decision a proceeding began in discussing the matter at his own initiation and necessary clarifications were demanded regarding Yenigomshyan’s criminal prosecution (including the possibility of reviewing the judicial documents) and conditions of his detention.
