YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS. The National Security Service has identified the person responsible for making false 911 calls on a planned terrorist attack on July 27.

The NSS told ARMENPRESS 29 year old Armenian citizen Sargis R. Safaryan has made two calls from Russia to Armenia, stating as if bombs are planted in the “Zvartnots” airport and “Armenia” TV station, which are going to be detonated soon.

“Making a false report on a planned terror attack is a criminal offense (Criminal Code Article 259), and the National Security Service of Armenia has sufficient capabilities to reveal any similar act and identify and apprehend the person responsible. Materials regarding this case have been sent to authorized state agencies for initiating an appropriate legal proceeding”, the NSS statement reads.

Notice – Suspect is innocent until proven guilty by the Court of Law.
