YEREVAN, JULY 26, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Police released a video on shooting which occurred in the Police station overnight July 25-26. The Police also gives clarification to that incident.

“In the evening of July 25 from 20:00 to 24:00 the gunmen firstly torched the Police bus which was out of the Police precinct’s territory, then they took and torched another two vehicles outside the Police precinct regularly opening fires during that period. At 01:00 the police “UAZ” vehicle went out from the Police precinct and moved towards the Police’s Erebouni station. The vehicle reached to the police chain, after which the law enforcement agencies opened fire towards the vehicle’s engine in order to stop the vehicle and prevent the real threat directly resulting from the gunmen who were in the vehicle. The vehicle turned into the left, shots were fired, then the law enforcement agencies opened fires towards the vehicle tires. Shots were fired in response, but the law enforcement agencies did not respond. As a result of the shooting two of the three people who were inside the vehicle received legs injuries and went to the Police precinct. The law enforcement agencies immediately called for medical assistance and offered the gunmen to take the wounded to hospital, to which they agreed. Currently the two wounded are in hospital and receive necessary medical treatment. Those are Ashot Petrosyan and Hovhannes Harutyunyan”.
