RPA spokesperson: Solving problems by force is not approved in any democratic state

YEREVAN, JULY 21, ARMENPRESS. To solve the situation in Yerevan it is necessary to be guided by the principle “do not harm”. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia supports exclusively peaceful and negotiated solution to the situation following the armed assault by gunmen on a police regiment in Yerevan, “Armenpress” reports Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia, RPA spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov told the reporters after RPA Executive Body meeting.

“We are all concerned by the incidents that occurred in Erebuni administrative district of Yerevan. We discussed this issue at the Executive Body meeting today. A tragedy has occurred, a police Colonel, who served his motherland during the Artsakh war was killed while fulfilling his service duties”, Sharmazanov said.

He also mentioned that Christian value system and tolerance will prevail. “We have no enemies in Armenia; all are our brothers and sisters”, Sharmazanov said, adding that solving problems by force is not approved in any democratic state.
