Government delays approval of bill on providing 7.5 billion AMD to Nuclear PP and TPP

 YEREVAN, JULY 21, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Levon Yolyan present a bill on making amendments and changes in the 2016 state budget during the July 21 Cabinet meeting.

Under the bill it is planned to include 7 billion 489 million AMD in the 2016 state budget’s revenues and expenses, which will be directed for the debt redemption of Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant and Yerevan Thermal Power Plant.

The minister said the amount will be included from the 30 million dollar loan which was provided by the loan agreement signed between Armenia and the European bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan suggested delaying the approval of the bill for 2 days, in order for interested agencies to review the bill and make conclusions.

Minister Yolyan said that they have received the approval of the Finance Ministry; nevertheless by the suggestion of the PM the approval of the bill was delayed for two days.
