More details of cruel murder of Armenian family in Georgia’s Samtskhe-Javakheti revealed

YEREVAN, JULY 11, ARMENPRESS. The person suspected in murdering a young woman and her 3 children has been detained, “Armenpress” reports, citing “Georgia online”.

Investigation revealed the detainee, 24-year old Nodar A., penetrated into the house of one of the residents of Vachiani village of Akhalkalaki region for robbery. Seeing the burglar, the housewife and the members of the family resisted. Nodar A. hit on the heads of the 36-year old woman and her children with a blunt instrument, causing an immediate death.

“The suspect burnt the house to hide the traces and disappeared, as a result of which the 4th member of the family, 5-year old child was strangled. The detainee has confessed his guilt”, reads the statement issued by the Georgian Ministry of Interior.

A criminal case has been initiated.

The bodies of 37 year old woman and three children, aged 5, 16, 18, have been found dead in the village Vachiani of Akhalkalaki region. The family was of Armenian ethnicity, Khachotyans.

According to the information by Rustavi 2, the woman and the three children were in the house, but their father left for Russia as a foreign worker.

Imedi TV Channel informed that according to the information provided by the family relatives, they were tortured, subjected to violence, however, the valuables were not stolen from the house.

The causes of the incident are not known yet. The bodies have been sent to the forensic bureau of Ninotsminda district.

The relatives found the bodies on July 10. It is supposed that the mother and the daughters were deadly injured by blunt objects, whereas, 5 year old son was strangled to death.
