YEREVAN, JUNE 14, ARMENPRESS. ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has reportedly been killed in a US air strike in Raqqa.
Various news agencies are reporting of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s death.
There have previously been reports that al-Baghdadi was killed or wounded after proclaiming himself caliph of all Muslims two years ago.
The Abna24 website said al-Baghdadi had been killed on Sunday morning by an air strike in Syria but the US-led coalition has made no comment.
The news comes after an Iraqi TV channel claimed last week that al-Baghdadi, who is believed to be in besieged ISIS 'capital' Raqqa, was hurt by a bomb released from a US-led coalition aircraft, the Mirror reported.
