YEREVAN, MAY 12, ARMENPRESS. “Armenpress” news agency presents the upcoming news for 12.05.2016.

Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan will make an announcement on May 12 before the Government’s regular session. He stated that currently the Government is engaged in the work of the economy’s development from which the future achievements should derive. The announcement of the Prime Minister will be in this context.

The representatives of the ARF Armenian National Committee summarize the results of the convention of the Armenian National Committees held in Nagorno Karabakh. They will present the details of their meeting with NKR President Bako Sahakyan, as well as they will speak about the recent developments over Karabakh issue.

The director of “Caucasus Institute” Alexander Iskandaryan, commander of the Shushi battalion Zhirayr Sefilyan, expert-analyst for regional affairs Sargis Hatspanyan, historian Gevorg Yazilchyan will speak about the regional developments and the Karabakh issue.

May 12 is the 95th birthday of USSR People’s artist, holder of “St. Mesrop Mashtots” medal, composer Edward Mirzoyan. Today, his fans, intellectuals, public, political and cultural figures, students, representatives of mass media will visit Pantheon.

A charitable concert will be held in Komitas Chamber Music House and the allocated money will be sent to the recovery of the wounded soldiers in Nagorno Karabakh.

The President of the Professional “Armfighting” federation and the coach of Albert Ghazaryan Hayk Ghukasyan will present the achievements of Albert Ghazaryan in the OFS 8 international tournament and the future plans of the federation.  

The championship of the sport of cycling of Armenian Federation will kick off on May 12, 2016.
