YEREVAN, MARCH 12, ARMENPRESS. Facebook users Vahan Kostanyan and Mkhitar Hayrapetyan released a statement asking midfielder of the Armenian National Football Team Henrikh Mkhitaryan to fulfill 13 year old Karlen’s dream and meet with him, who is suffering from the Treacher Collins syndrome.

As "Armenpress" reports, the authors of the statement note that Mkhitaryan is loved by everyone in Armenia. "Whether you are a football fan or not, you are proud of him and admire him. And it's not just Henrikh’s football talent, he also captures the hearts of people by the type of a man he is. And as to how the children accept him...only recently we realized the whole picture, when we visited 13 year old Karlen who has serious health issues. When the 13 year old Karlen, suffering from the Treacher Collins syndrome was asked about his dream, he immediately answered – “I am dreaming about meeting Henrikh Mkhitaryan and playing football with him”.

Considering different circumstances we did not promise anything to our young friend and his parents, but nevertheless we decided to try, why not, perhaps we will succeed. We managed to find the Footballer’s mother’s phone number, Mrs. Marina, but we were unable to contact her.  We couldn’t contact Mkhitaryan’s Facebook page administrators and making a note on the page is useless, because every day thousands of people are making different types of entries. As a result, we received the permission of the young boy’s mother to make this issue public and by using the internet to make his dream come true. By the way, in recent days, many children with health problems have expressed their desire to see the player.

Given the fact that on March 25 the Armenia-Belarus football match will take place in Yerevan, it is clear that Mkhitaryan will soon return to Armenia. Therefore, we hope that our voice will be heard, and we ask Henrikh Mkhitaryan to make young Karlen’s dream come true when he will be in Yerevan. We urge everyone to actively participate in this initiative. Only through your support will we be able to connect with Henrikh or with any of his relatives, "the statement reads.
