YEREVAN, MARCH 10, ARMENPRESS. World Champion Magnus Carlsen touched upon the Candidates Tournament to be held in Moscow. As “Armenpress” reports citing Chess-news.ru, Carlsen expressed an opinion that the winning candidates are either Levon Aronian, Fabiano Caruana or Sergey Karjakin.

“I think the winner is going to be one of the trio Aronian, Fabiano or Karjakin. Of course, this is just an assumption. Anyway, I would choose one of those three players if I were betting,” he said.

“Despite the fact that Levon is older than me by a few years, I consider him a chess player of my generation as we began playing at big tournaments almost at the same time.”

Levon Aronian will play with Anish Giri (Netherlands) in the first round of Candidates Tournament on March 11.
