Sharmazanov hails Cem Ozdemir’s stance on Armenian Genocide condemnation

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 26, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov had a meeting with the co-chairman of the “Alliance `90/The Greens” party Cem Ozdemir during the international conference entitled “Genocides of Christians in the Ottoman and Kemalist Turkey” on February 25 at Berlin's Humboldt University.
As “Armenpress” was informed by the Deputy Speaker’s office, Sharmazanov highly praised Cem Ozdemir’s stance on the condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, who is the author of the draft resolution which is currently being discussed in the Bundestag.
They both stressed the importance of condemnation of crimes against humanity, including the Armenian Genocide, by the Bundestag and the international community.
Both sides noted that discussions on the Armenian Genocide have reaffirmed in the German parliament and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide by the Bundestag is inevitable.
