Armen Amiryan appointed as Council member of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. According to December 16 decree of the Republic of Armenia President Serzh Sargsyan, Armen Amiryan has been appointed as member of Council of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia for a 6-year period. “Armenpress” was informed about it by the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Office to the President of the Republic of Armenia.

Armen Amiryan was born on July 29, 1967 in Yerevan, Armenia. In 1984 he  worked at the Armenian TV and Radio State Committee, as the assistant to director. In 1985 moved to announcer’s department, and worked there till 1997. In 1996 founded “Ar Radio Intercontinental” Ltd Co and became the President of the Company. In 1996 founded “ArmenAkob” cultural centre, which has served to realize various charitable projects in Armenia and abroad. From 1997 till 07.12.2015 Amiryan was General Director of the Armenian National Radio. 2010-2013 he served as Head of the TV-Radio Journalism Chair, Faculty of Culture, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan. In 2015, according to the official decree of Armenia President Serzh Sargsyan, Armen Amiryan was awarded a Title of Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.
