YEREVAN, DECEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. Embassies of China, Brazil, Argentina, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and Lithuania to Armenia actively participate in the New Year charity fair held in the halls of the Municipality of Yerevan. “Armenpress” correspondent visited the pavilions of the diplomatic missions introducing the most interesting episodes.

In Brazil’s pavilion Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Armenia H.E. Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro makes the famous Brazilian alcohol cocktail Caipirinha for the visitants. Ambassador notes that Caipirinha is very popular in Brazil, but it can already be found in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris, New York and Yerevan. It is made of the cachaça (sugarcane hard liquor), ice, sugar and lime. 

Crowds gather around the Chinese pavilion. The wife of H.E.Mr.TianErlong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Armenia, noted with satisfaction that in this way the Armenian people have an opportunity to get acquainted with Chinese products and culture. The pavilion presents a wide variety of Chinese products: silk scarves, things made of porcelain, vodka, tea etc. 

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Armenia H.E. Mr. ErikasPetrikasinvitesthe guests to have some Lithuanian chocolate, Lithuanian liqueur and traditional wedding cake šakotis.

Yerevan Municipality hosts traditional New Year charity fair. The fair is organized by the “Association of the young women of Armenia” under the support of the Municipality of Yerevan. The exhibition includes 80 pavilions with handmade goods produced by companies, individuals, international structures, embassies, women of Armenia regions. Syrian Armenian women also participatein the fair.
