Elderly lady celebrates her 103rd birthday in “Wonder Woman” dress
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 16, ARMENPRESS. An elderly lady dressed up as Wonder Woman as she celebrated her 103rd birthday - and proved that age is just a number. “Armenpress” reports referring to Mirror that Mary Cotter, who volunteers at the Montclair Senior Center in California, decided to channel her inner superhero and don the brightly coloured costume as she cut into her cake.
The costume was a gift from her friends, who describe her as a "real life Wonder Woman ."
Amazingly, Mary drives to and from the nursing home five days a week to help out, a job she has been doing for the last 25 years.
When asked about her secret to growing hold in good health, Mary simply said: "Just keeping busy I guess."
In the 1930s, Mary was a swimmer and helped lead her high school to victory in the state championships.
In her 60s she taught swimming lessons to children, and in her 90s she was out rescuing sea turtles.
But while everyone else is baffled by Mary's never-ending energy, she is completely unfazed by her age and believes it really is 'just a number'.
After being uploaded to Facebook by ABC7 News, the video of Mary's birthday celebrations on October 13 has had more than 263,000 views.
