YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Coaches of Armenia and Albania national football teams talked about the opportunities of their teams in Euro 2016 last qualifying match during a pre-match press conference.

According to head coach of Albania national football team Gianni De Biasi, Armenia national team is a good one. He had the same impression during the match between the teams played in Albania. “When we encountered with the Armenian team in the first match, I was greatly impressed. Henrikh Mkhitaryan impressed me and after the match I told Bernard Challandes (former coach of Armenia team- edit.) that Mkhitaryan is a very powerful player. Armenia has a good national team. I took part in similar competitions many times and they are very important especially for countries like Albania or Armenia. We hope to win tomorrow and make Albanians happy. I believe that one day the Armenian team will have such an opportunity as well”, “Armenpress” reports that Gianni De Biasi told the journalists.

In answer to the question “Are Albanians sure about their victory over Armenia?” he added, “We are not sure about anything. We rely only on our abilities. We can be sure only about one thing in our lives: One day we will leave this world.  This round was something like a miracle for us and we must use the opportunity”.

According to acting head coach of the Armenian national football team SargisHovsepyan, Armenia national team has a great desire to end the competition with a victory.

“Maybe yes. We realize that we have no more tasks to be fulfilled. We must just reclaim our game. We can also lose, even if we play well. This is football: all teams lose some day. I do not exclude that. No one can say that his team will win without doubt a day before the match.  We do all possible to win tomorrow’s match playing a beautiful match as well which I greatly highlight as it is our last match. We want to win at home very much”, Hovsepyan emphasized.

The head coach also referred to the changes done during the match with France. He pointed out that it is very important for a coach to analyze the game so as to make clear which footballers should be invited.

To the remark that the Albanians need to win by all means, and the Armenian team needs a victory as well to save honor, Hovsepyan responded, “We should not use words like “save honor”. This is sport. When a team or a sportsman loses, it does not mean that his honor is endangered. There are several factors.  Such words should not be used in sports. You can lose, but it does not mean that you are dishonored. We will enter the stadium for competing by all our force and will do everything to win. If you watched the first half of the game, than you have seen those positive moments. The counterattacks were wonderful. We had more real chances, but the French did not have any chance until scoring. After the changes the quality decreased to some extent. I witnessed the match I wanted to see during the first 36 minutes, but we made some mistakes which can also be explained by the factor of French first-class footballers”.

Euro 2016 Armenia-Albania qualifying match will take place on October 11 at VazgenSargsyan Republican Stadium.
