Azerbaijan MFA tries to lose traces of former diplomats seeking asylum abroad

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Azerbaijan MFA took out the names of all the workers registered in the embassies abroad from its website to lose the traces of former diplomats seeking an asylum in foreign countries.

Haqqin.az news website informs “Armenpress” about this.

Last week the 4th empoyee of Azerbaijan MFA military attaché in Netherlands Nahid Mukhtar oglu Jafarov refused to return to his homeland and asked for an asylum in that state.

Azerbaijan MFA hurried to announce that a person with such name does not work in the ministry system. But,  the website correspondent easily succeeded to find the name of Nahid Jafarov in the department of certificated diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan MFA website.

On September 14 Azerbaijan MFA urgently refreshed that section of the website, and all the diplomats’ names, who were registered abroad,   disappeared from the website.

Earlier former Azerbaijan ambassador to the EU and  the organization of Islamic Cooperation Arif Mamedov , the Third Secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Australia Anar Hasanov  and employee  Farid Subhanverdiev  asked for an asylum in the in the Western countries. All of them were dismissed from Azerbaijan MFA, as they accused the authorities of harshly violating  the human rights in Azerbaijan.
