YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, met the participants of “Baze-2015” annual youth gathering on August 20. The gathering was launched on August 17 and the participants represent youth from Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Public Relations and Media Department of the NA Staff, the Speaker of the National Assembly attended one of the sports events of “Baze-2015, during which the participants displayed their sports skills.

Galust Sahakyan, welcoming the participants, mentioned that Armenian summer can be regarded as youth summer precisely due to projects which unify the Armenian youth and give them an opportunity to interact with each.

The NA Speaker stated that he followed the activities of “Baze” for years and is happy to be the witness of sports and cultural events organized by the youth.

According to Galust Sahakyan, the very youth must be the bearers of national ideology and guardians of national culture and traditions.

At the end of the meeting Galust Sahakyan was pleased to answer the questions of the youth, which referred to Constitutional reforms, activities of the parliament, involvement of the youth in the domestic and external life of the country.
