Armen Ashotyan advised “Baze” participants to be permanently engaged in self-education

TSAKHKADZOR, AUGUST 18. The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, who had been an active “Baze” participant and headed the red front of the pan-Armenian gathering during his student years, met the participants of “Baze-2015”. “Armenpress” reports that Ashotyan promised to answer all questions of the participants.

Referring to the question what steps are taken to solve the school attendance issue of children with congenital physical disabilities, Armen Ashotyan mentioned that the problem pointed out really exists in Armenia. “Personally I and our Ministry are the supporters of inclusive education in Armenia, and every child must get education according to his abilities”, Ashotyan mentioned, adding that about 150 inclusive schools operate in Armenia.

One of the “Baze” participants inquired about the most interesting part of Armen Ashotyan’s job. In answer to that question Ashotyan mentioned,” It is already 7 years that I have the honor to be the Minister of Education and Science. This is a responsibility that you can always be “attacked”. The opportunity to help people motivates me”, the Minister emphasized.

Referring to 12-year education, Armen Ashotyan mentioned that there is no alternative to it in Armenia, as with a 10-year education certificate no European Higher Educational Institution will be available for Armenian students.

Armen Ashotyan advised the participants to be permanently engaged in self-education the results of which will be visible years later.
