Orlando Bloom to star in fifth Pirates Of The Caribbean film

YEREVAN, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS. Disney have confirmed that Orlando Bloom will return for the fifth installment of Pirates Of The Caribbean. Reprising his role as Will Turner, the 38-year-old will appear in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales; it was revealed at the Disney D23 Expo on Saturday after he previously said he wasn't sure on the part late last year. Armenpress reports, referring to “Daily Mail”, that Orlando played the character for three previous movies alongside Johnny Depp - who will similarly appear in the 2017 release - but didn't appear in 2011's On Stranger Tides, the fourth part.

Johnny, 51, was seen returning to the Australia set in character as Captain Jack Sparrow in June, but reports were as yet unconfirmed for the Lord Of The Rings star Orlando. It was originally claimed in December that Disney were in talks with the star to return for a starring role in the forthcoming film but that he wasn't 'entirely sure' on the work. The father-of-one told IGN: 'I'm not entirely sure that [I'll be back] just yet, but there are talks. 'Basically they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son.

'I'm of course Davy Jones now, so I'm down the bottom of the ocean. It might be kind of fun to do something where I'm rumbling round the bottom of the ocean, because I won't look anything like me. Get all gnarly.'

Fans of the franchise will know that Davy Jones was of course the captain of the Flying Dutchman - originally played by Bill Nighy - whose tentacles resemble a scary mixture of aquatic features. But as the actor hinted, it's expected that his storyline will centre on Will's bond with his offspring. Meanwhile, the plot is known to revolve around down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow, who is still trying to triumph against the deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis Captain Salazar. His mission is to seek out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that can bestow control over the seas.
