Seyran Ohanyan in Tavush assured that border protection is in safe hands

YEREVAN, AUGUST 10, ARMEENPRESS. The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohayan paid a visit to the northeastern border of the Republic on August 7-8 accompanied by the Deputy Chief Armed Forces Staff, Lieutenant General Haykaz Baghmanyan, the Commander of the 3rd army corps Major General Onik Gasparyan and other high ranking military officials.  

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Information and Public Relations Department of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Armenia, the Defense Minister familiarized with the service organization, military and professional readiness of the personnel, social conditions and the ongoing constructions of the bordering military units. The sanitary conditions of the canteens were also checked.

The Minister discussed issues concerning military readiness, front line situation, social conditions of the soldiers with the commanders of the corps and units. Seyran Ohanyan gave appropriate assignments and instructions to implement the activities more productively.

The Minister also met some recruits. Welcoming and wishing them peaceful service, Seyran Ohanyan highlighted the importance of military service for every Armenian.

The Minister also met with a number of bordering community heads and residents during the visit. Familiarizing with their problems and concerns Seyran Ohanyan assured them the the protection of the state border is in safe hands and everything is done to make the life of the citizens safer.
