Pan-Armenian Games participants visit Shushi: their heart got connected with world of Artsakh forever

STEPANAKERT, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS: The 6th Pan-Armenian Summer Games are gradually taking pace, connecting the Armenian sons with the native land and providing them with the opportunity to get new friends. Several kinds of sports of football and volleyball of the Pan-Armenian Games are taking place in Stepanakert and Askeran. Besides the tournaments, the sportsmen, arrived in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, got acquainted with the capital Stepanakert and the Armenian fortress city of Shushi. The Isfahan team of the Pan-Armenian Games visited Shushi and Ghazanchetsots Cathedral.

Armo Minasyan separated in the football team of Isfahan with his perfect knowledge of the Armenian history and some fascinating details about the Karabakh War, who has come to the motherland again after 5 years. The distance between Stepanakert and Shushi is not long, but when it passes in a good company, it seems to last for seconds. On the whole way to the fortress city, Armo did not stop singing patriotic songs and repeated all the time that he must have 5 sons, stressing that “a girl cannot become a soldier”.

“I was born and grew up in a very patriotic family, but I always missed my fatherland. Every time seeing Shushi and Stepanakert, free and liberated, I get proud of being an Armenian. As Simon, one of “Lisbon 5” guys, says: “I was born an Armenian and I will die an Armenian, as I am the soldier of the Armenian nation””, - said Armo with a great excitement, a great belief and a great confidence about the homeland’s future, Armenpress reports.

“This year, as it is 2015, and it is the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, the most important thing is that Armenians all over the world gather together and raise the issue of demand. We have independent Armenia and we should not be dictated someone’s will. We have such a nation, which is ready to give its life for the nation”, - said the Isfahan Armenian.
