85,5 thousands of job seekers, vacancies and professions in demand: Interview
YEREVAN, JULY 31, ARMENPRESS. By June 1 2015, 85,5 thousands of people are searching for a job, 58,1 thousands of them are women and 20,9 thousands – young people. The number of the unemployed makes 87% or 74,4 thousands of the people, searching for a job. For the first time the number of the people searching for a job among the unemployed is 49,2% or 36,6 thousands, 15,3 thousands or 41,8% of them are young people.
These are the data provided by the State Employment Agency. According to them, the number of unemployed women continues to remain high, who make 70,4% or 52,4 thousands of the unemployed. The number of the young people make 24,2% of 18,000 people of the unemployed and the disabled – 3,2% or 2,4 thousands people.
Armenpress had a talk with Anahit Parsadanyan, the Head of the Department for Labor market analysis, forecasting and evaluation of the State Employment Agency, about the level of unemployment, the programs directed to the unemployed, the number of the job seekers, involved in these programs and the job vacancies in the labor market.
