Avetisyans successors have not familiarized with materials provided by Russian side yet

YEREVAN, JULY 23, ARMENPRESS.  Advocates of the successors of the Avetisyans family killed in Gyumri have not familiarized with materials provided by the Russian side yet. “We have not familiarized with the materials transferred by the Russian side yet: The materials are being translated after which the Investigative Committee will familiarize us with the conclusions and investigation results of the materials provided by the Russian side. If the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia finds no need for future operations, they must announce about the completion of Valery Permyakov’s criminal investigation and deliver the materials to us in order we can familiarize with the entire criminal case. After that it will become clear if we will adduce new motions or no”, advocate of the successors of the Avetisyans family, lawyer Yerem Sargsyan announced about this in an interview with “Armenpress”.

The speaker had difficulty in answering the question whether the defendant Valery Permyakov will be in the territory of the 102nd Russian base or will be transferred to one of the penal institutions of Armenia during the trial. “It is difficult to answer that question now, but I can say definitely that his presence will be guaranteed during the trials as it is impossible to conduct the trial without the defender”, Yerem Sargsyan clarified.

After joint discussions in Yerevan and Gyumri the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia received the materials of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Committee of the RF in relation to the murder of the Avetisyans family in Gyumri on 12 January 2015.

Personnel of Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia investigated with Russian colleagues the criminal case in the Investigative Committee of the RF and jointly separated the materials referring to the investigation of the murder of the Avetisyans family. As a result, the separated materials made up 9 volumes, which were given to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The head of the main investigation department of Special Investigation Service sent the materials to be translated.
