“Golden Apricot” launched by Rober Gedigian`s "Crazy story " film show

YEREVAN, JULY 12, ARMENPRESS. Yerevan “Golden Apricot” 12th international film festival started with the show of French director, actor, screenwriter and producer Rober Gedigian`s “Crazy story” film. The film touching the topic of the Armenian Genocide was shown at the “Moscow” cinema on July 12.

The famous director mentioned before the film started that he was very anxious that the “Golden Apricot” was launched by his film.

“With this film I wanted to present the memories of Armenians. It is always said that the winners write history and only memory remains for defeated, but this memory pass through years and again find ways to create: With the help of culture or sometimes weapon.”, as reports “Armenpress, Gedigian mentioned.

According to the director, the memory of the Genocide is alive and is a part of history. “I hope that this film will help to reach to the audience what must be recognized after the history of Armenians spreads all over the world”, he added.

 

The film “Crazy story” starts with the famous trial of Soghomon Tehleryan, then the audience is taken to Paris, 1981. Armenian Aram explodes the car of the Turkish ambassador, heavily injuring Jil, who was passing by on his bicycle. Aram flees to Beirut to join the Armenian Liberation Army. His mother, Anush, goes to the hospital to see Jil and apologize for Aram, but Jil wanted to see his executor face to face. Vendetta in mind, he travels to Marseille to battle with Aram`s family. Instead, he finds a long lasting hospitality there. Aram quarrels with his friends in Beirut before one day he decides to meet his victim with the intention to make him his representative…
