YEREVAN, JULY 6, ARMENPRESS. Hamlet Gasparyan - Armenia’s Ambassador to Romania – paid a visit to Focșani on the occasion of City Days.  As Armenpress was informed by the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, questions on fostering relations between Focșani and the Armenian city of Berd were discussed during the meeting. The ambassador voiced the congratulatory message of the Mayor of Berd – Harutyun Manucharyan. Later they took part in the official opening ceremony of the City Days where Gasparyan made a welcome speech.  

Reflecting on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Ambassador Gasparyan expressed his gratitude to Romania for giving a shelter to tens of thousands of Armenian refugees  and orphans in the 1920-s.  Hamlet Gasparyan highly appreciated the solidarity message addressed to the Armenian people by Romania’s President Klaus Werner Iohannis.
