YEREVAN, JUNE 29, ARMENPRESS. Embassy of France to Armenia is following the developments going on in Armenia and wishes that the electricity tariff hike issue be solved through dialogue as soon as possible. The solution should be acceptable to everybody. As Armenpress reports, Jean-Francois Charpentier - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia – informed this in response to the journalists’ question.

“France is not used to make comments on issues regarding the internal policy of a foreign sovereign country. Of course, we are following the developments that are in the logic of democratic processes. It is normal when people put forward demands. It is also normal that the authorities want to maintain the public order. The only thing we want is that the solution could be found through dialogue as soon as possible, a solution that is acceptable to everybody and is economically sustainable,” the French diplomat mentioned. In answer to the question in regard to the violence against the journalists, the Ambassador said, “As far as I am informed, all the detainees have been released.”
