Situation is calm on Armenian-Azerbaijani border: Artsrun Hovhannisyan
YEREVAN, JUNE 24, ARMENPRESS. The situation is calm on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the Armenian forces continue their military service ensuring the security in the region. Artsrun Hovhannisyan – Press Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia – said in an interview with Armenpress that there are no signs of strain on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, adding that there is no need to worry. Mr. Hovhannisyan said that the incident of the previous day was a minor thing.
Yerevan office of the Red Cross had earlier applied to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia to get warranty to take out the corpses of two Azerbaijani servicemen from the near-post part of Azerbaijani Armed Forces which is situated in front of Vazashen village. Artsrun Hovhannisyan didn’t exclude the possibility that the servicemen were lost. Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote in his Facebook page; “Warranty was provided at once by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, and the processes in such cases are familiar to the Azerbaijani side. We are informing that no Azerbaijani serviceman moved to the Armenian side.”
