The protesters against the electricity price hike are again in the Baghramyan 
Avenue of Yerevan

YEREVAN, 23 JUNE, ARMENPRESS: The protesters against the electricity price hikes in Yerevan, Armenia have decided to move from the Freedom Square towards the Presidential Palace on Baghramyan Avenue. As Armenpress reports, the further movement of the protesters at the beginning of the avenue was stopped by the police cordon. The deputy police chief of Yerevan Valeri Osipyan told the journalists that the whole rally is unlawful, thus, not allowed to go on. “We will try to explain if the protesters undertake further unlawful actions,” Osipyan said.   

In the evening of June 23 the protests against the electricity price hikes have restarted in the Freedom Square of Yerevan. After a few hours of demonstration in the square, the protesters have decided to move towards Baghramyan Avenue, where the presidential Palace is located. All the protesters that have been detained during the morning rally have already been released.
