7 killed in tragic car accident on Armenia’s Tashir-Stepanavan highway

YEREVAN, JUNE 6, ARMENPRESS: At midnight a tragic incident happened in Lori Marz of the Republic of Armenia. The emergency call was received at 00:39am local time on June 6. It was reported that a car was on fire on Tashir-Stepanavan highway, nearby Saratovka Village. Three crews were sent to the scene.
The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that under still unknown circumstances, a Volkswagen Touareg had gone off the road on the 8th kilometer of the Tashir-Stepanavan highway, hit the rocks and caught fire.
V. M. (born in 1994), V. A. (1991), G. Gh. (1993), A. T. (1993), G. P. (1991), K. Kh. (1993) and A. B. (1993) were killed in the crash.
The fire was put out at 1:33am. Rescuers pulled the dead bodies from the car.
