YEREVAN, 26 MAY, ARMENPRESS. Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan met with representatives of the European Youth Parliament. Greeting the guests, the mayor first attached importance to the organization’s activities aimed at increasing the role of youth and preparing a generation of aware people, emphasizing that the youth are the driving force of society and that ensuring the continuation of the stable development and reinforcement of a country is reserved for them. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of Yerevan Municipality reports to “Armenpress”, touching upon the solemn inauguration of the 2^nd international conference of the European Youth Parliament held at Yerevan Municipality, Taron Margaryan emphasized that Yerevan Municipality was willing to do everything it could to support the implementation of similar initiatives.

“We attach importance to the holding of similar conferences since they help make it possible to ensure the effective communication and exchange of experiences between nations and states, the establishment of friendly and business relations, as well as the development of tourism. Yerevan Municipality is always open and willing to discuss any proposal for cooperation and to work together to carry out all initiatives that will benefit our citizens. I’m certain that the cooperation with the representatives of the European Youth Parliament in Armenia will also be effective,” Mayor Taron Margaryan emphasized.

Head of the Armenian representation of the European Youth Parliament Hovsep Patvakanyan expressed gratitude to the mayor of Yerevan for the cordial reception and attached special importance to Taron Margaryan’s approaches to assessing the potential of youth.

During the meeting, Mayor Taron Margaryan also answered the questions of the foreign representatives of the European Youth Parliament in regard to municipal administration.
