YEREVAN, 22 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The international community has to do everything possible to make sure such crimes never happen again and anywhere. This is stated in the address by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin addressed to the participants of the commemorative event with the title “The World Without Genocides”, the Kremlin’s official website reports, according to “Armenpress”.

“Dear friends, April 24, 1915 is a day of tragedy, which is linked to the Armenian Genocide, one of the most horrible and most tragic events in the history of mankind.

After a century, we bow our heads in memory of all the victims of that tragedy. Russia has always viewed that tragedy as its own pain and tragedy.

Russia’s position is objective and consistent, that is, there can be no justification for massive elimination on the ethnic ground. The international community must do everything possible to make sure such crimes never happen again and anywhere.

The new generations of Armenians and the other nations in the region must live in peace and with consensus and shouldn’t know about the horrors lead to religious hostility, aggressive nationalism and xenophobia.

I wish the Armenians in fraternal Armenia and all Armenians citizens of Russia welfare, peace and all that is good. The victims will always be remembered,” as stated in Vladimir Putin’s address.
